Indian bridegrooms abandoning their wives is not a novel occurrence. Men were often pressured by families to marry many in the past, and bigamy was common. Husbands concealed foreign then left wives. The issue, however, has taken on new dimensions as result of global growth number NRIs, who come from wide range economic social backgrounds. Most states have reported incidents women being abandoned predators posing brides, therefore issue limited single location.
 plight had NRI husbands desert them overlooked among country's pressing challenges for whole. This underreported socioeconomic that weakens fabric nation pales comparison trafficking women, violence against rehabilitating homeless, providing prenatal postnatal care. False marriage, infidelity, dowry extortion are rise more Indians leave country quest better opportunities elsewhere, this trend devastating effect women. Indeed, grooms may easily take advantage avarice bride's family since they consider daughter passport El Dorado luxuries shares.
